Similarly, If you are aware of the NS&I account or any Premium Bond or other product numbers you should approach NS&I directly via its website.

If you do not know the bank or building society that holds your account, you should use this service. Once you have finished, the information you have given will be sent to all the account provider that you indicated might be holding your account.

Before you start

  • Have all the information about the account you are looking for to hand as you complete the form, including any sort codes and account numbers.
  • Consider an account opened many years ago may not have been in your current name, or while you were at a previous address.
  • Accounts opened by parents, guardians or on your behalf may be jointly in their names, they may also be in your previous name.
  • If you are searching for lost accounts as an executor or next of kin you will need to provide a date of death.

Do not pay a fee of any kind to undertake the search for your lost bank, building society or NS&I account.
